About the Mining Bee (Utsugi-no-himehanabachi)
This is a small solitary bee that visits flowers such as Deutzia in spring. It digs nests in the ground, and many individuals may gather at the same site. The aggregation site in Hyogo Prefecture is protected as a valuable place to see this nesting behavior.
