About the East Asian Finless Porpoise

The East Asian Finless Porpoise is a small cetacean with a round head and no dorsal fin, usually under two meters in length. It favors bays and shallow seas and often occurs in small groups. The Seto Inland Sea is a major habitat in Japan, and a marine area off Takasaki in Takehara, Hiroshima, is designated a national Natural Monument for the porpoises that frequent it.
