About the Ogasawara Emerald Dragonfly

The Ogasawara Emerald Dragonfly is an endemic dragonfly with a metallic green body, found only in the Ogasawara Islands. It was once seen on Chichijima and Hahajima, but predation by introduced green anoles and habitat changes caused a sharp decline. Few places now support it, and it is designated a Natural Monument.
