The Yodo white-bordered tiger beetle inhabits sandy-muddy tidal flats among reed beds in brackish river estuaries. Its wing covers have white borders. Adults catch small insects, while larvae wait for prey in burrows in the ground. Its habitat at the Hiki River estuary in Shirahama, Wakayama, is a prefectural Natural Monument, and conservation of its estuarine habitat is important.
