The anchor-marked tiger beetle is a small tiger beetle with an anchor-shaped white mark on its wing covers, living on sandy beaches and river mouths. It runs quickly to catch small insects, while larvae ambush prey from vertical burrows. Declining with the loss of natural coasts, it is protected through a Natural Monument habitat in Ishikawa.
